George Bernard Shaw said, “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” George Washington, Patrick Henry, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Nathan Hale and many of their associates were unreasonable. King George thought so. If you are perceived by someone as being unreasonable, you are in good company. Aristotle said, “Even God cannot change the past.” Be thankful God allows us to remember, learn from and enjoy our memories of the past. George Bernard Shaw said, “When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares it is his duty.” Sounds like a government employee. Henry Wheeler Shaw (Josh Billings) said, “The trouble with people is not that they don’t know but that they know so much that ain’t so.” Will Rogers said, “The trouble with most of us is that we know so many facts, that ain’t true.” Mark Schwartz said, “Don’t trust anyone too much, including yourself.” UNK says, "We can all be wrong." Al Gore did not invent the Internet, but Will Rogers certainly described it more than seventy years ago when he said, “The trouble with most of us is—we know so many facts that ain’t true!” Dave Marsh LAW IS A BOTTOMLESS PIT John Arbuthnot (1712) Computers are fast, dumb and do not make mistakes. Programmers are slow, smart and do not admit mistakes. UNK |
