- Diseases causing visual impairment include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.
- At age 80, 25% will be legally blind.
- Smokers are 2.5 times more likely to become blind. They are more likely to become blind than to contract lung cancer.
- Recent studies have shown that taking vision formula vitamin supplements forestalls macular degeneration.
- Senior blindness receives little federal assistance. Less than $6 million serves 2.7 million visually impaired people, or $2.22 per person annually.

Become a volunteer driver. Comprehensive insurance and training are provided. We reimburse drivers' mileage for using their own car.
